Termination of Service

I took into consideration the fact that DHRRA Malaysia was facing a shortage of funding and financial resources, to the extend that contracts were not able to be renewed for many staff in 2017.

It was indeed with deepest sadness – but with clear understanding of the financial situation – that I decided to terminate my service as Consultant and Training Manager with DHRRA Malaysia.

This would enable DHRRA Malaysia to save RM2,300 monthly, and my last day on DHRRA Malaysia’s payroll was 28 February 2017.

In my letter of Termination of Service with DHRRA Malaysia dated 20 February 2017 and addressed to Mr. Saravanan Sinapan, I assured the president of DHRRA Malaysia that my professional services were still available on a pay-per-job basis through Perunding Media, Motivasi dan Penerbitan Uthaya (Uthaya’s Media, Motivation and Publication Consultancy) [Company Registration: SA0184670-H].

Meanwhile, kindly note that effective 1 March 2017, unless clearly stated otherwise, all projects under Kumpulan Sasterawan Kavyan (Kavyan); Perunding Media, Motivasi dan Penerbitan Uthaya; Persatuan Pembangunan Kemahiran Insaniah Kaum India (Insaniah); and myself – Uthaya Sankar SB – are not in any way funded/sponsored by DHRRA Malaysia, or in any way related/affiliated to DHRRA Malaysia.

Projek Komuniti Kavyan (Kavyan’s Community Project) in Aulong Lama, Taiping, Perak since June 2016 was funded entirely by the public and well wishers who contributed to Tabung Projek Komuniti Kavyan. Thanks also to DHRRA Malaysia for generously covering the toll and petrol cost for this project from June 2016 to February 2017; around RM300 monthly.

Effective 1 March 2017, Projek Komuniti Kavyan in Taiping, Perak; Shah Alam, Selangor; Kampung Chetti, Melaka; and elsewhere is funded entirely by the public and well-wishers who contribute to Tabung Projek Komuniti Kavyan.

Working with DHRRA Malaysia from November 2015 to February 2017 has indeed been an important lesson, experience and eye-opener, and I wish DHRRA Malaysia management all the best in their continuous dream in Building Better Communities. Meanwhile, I have my own dreams to follow.

End Note: I have discussed with Kavyan’s legal advisor on 20 February 2017. If anyone (individual, group or organisation) is found using/claiming any of Kavyan’s activities (including photos) as part of their own activity (including in social media and activity/project reports, locally or internationally), legal action can and will be taken against them immediately.
